Brij Holi festival is held in the Shukla Paksha in the month of Phalgun every year which is a few days prior to Holi. The festival of Brij Holi is dedicated to Lord Krishna where he was spent his significant time in a region which is called Braj or Brij in Rajasthan. Celebration of Brij Holi is in Deeg Palace. Brij Holi is held in Bharatpur for the travelers and especially for the tourists. This festival will be celebrated in Kaman, Bharatpur and Deeg and is the two days festival in Bharatpur district. At the Deeg Palace folk artists will perform Holi special dances such as Dhola, Bahrupiya Swang, Bham Rasiya, Kacchi Ghodi, Chakri and Tera Taali from different parts of Rajasthan. In the backdrop, the colorful fountains will give a mesmerizing background.

In the evening, Program of Krishna Ballet will be held by Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra of New Delhi on the same day. Kaman will be host many holi festivals such Laddu Holi, Gulal Holi, Phoolon ki Holi, Kanuj Gulal Holi and Doodh Dahi Holi at the various temples such as Radha Vallabh, Shri Gokul Chandrama, Gopinath and Shree Madan Mohan. Latthmar Holi and Phoolon Ki Holi will also be displayed in this procession. A procession of religious will begins from Mandir of Gopinath and at Radha Vallabh Mandir will end. At the place the colorful water fountains is the main parts of these celebrations. If you are watching a rainbow dancing to tune of festive, from these fountains look as, the myriad colors that spurt. Also there will be a show of colorful fountain.

History of Brij Holi Festival

Brij Bhoomi is the birthplace of Lord Krishna which lies from Bharatpur and he spent his childhood. Brij people celebrate this unique festival which signifies unity and love. At the Radha Krishna temple in the morning, people gather to offer prayers. In this festival performed the Rasila Dance which is shown the entire unity and love story of Krishna and Radha. This festival signifies the Lord Krishna’s eternal love and tourists who visit Brij festival also take part in this festival. Before going for these prayers people take a holy dip in the ghats water of Bhanganga River.

Brij Holi festival of Bharatpur is one of the most important fairs and festivals in Rajasthan. Attractions of Brij Festival

The main attraction point of the Brij Festival is the Rasila Dance which is depicting the eternal love story of Krishna and Radha. In the background the colorful fountains are also a main attraction of this festival. At the Stadium of Lohargarh also there will be various rural sports like tug of war, cricket, kabaddi matches and wrestling of women. In the spirit of festive the whole region gets immersed and look of entire region is colorful.
